My research interests are focused on cell biophysics, soft and active matter physics, and bio-inspired active materials.  I believe that tools from theoretical and experimental soft matter physics can be used to help understand the complexities of living systems.  In doing so, we can learn lessons from nature, and use them to develop a new breed of active materials with advanced functionality.  Please see some of my previous and current research topics in the drop-down list.
